DETAILS OF CLASS CHALET HERE!!!!!!!!

Venue: Aloha Loyang @ Pasir Ris (but i'm not sure which unit, which room, etc. So just call when you've reached!

Time: THIS DEPENDS. Check in @ 3-ish depending on what time we're done with shopping for drinks and tidbits!
BBQ STARTS @6PM or whenever the BBQ stuffs are being delivered!!

Tip: COME EARLY SO THAT YOU WON'T MISS OUT ON ANYTHING!

Teachers are also coming for the BBQ! Confimed are: MS SHARON KOH. MS GLENDA CHIA. MRS S. CHEONG. (Ms Koh, who are the rest coming?!)

Items to bring: WHATEVER YOU WANT.

I hope you spent your holidays recharging yourselves and most importantly, starting your mugging.

Term 3 marks the start, not the end, of uber business and stress. Do not let this get in your way of your scheduled studying periods.

On monday, 29/7, this is what you social responsible citizens need to do:
1. Bring your ODTs - there is going to be temperature checking twice everyday
2. Print out your travel declaration forms here and let your parents sign. Give to me on monday.

If you have travelled to affected countries and came back only after 22nd June, please please do not come to school. (You'll be send back anyway)

If you are unwell, even if you have not been to affected countries, please go and see a doctor. (H1N1 infections can occur through community spread)

For youth day, we will be given a magnet souvenior for youth day. To make the magnet nice nice, need pictures. Eg. Class photo, any picture or what so ever. but ms goh only mention class photo or any other thing that shows the class lah. So since we didn't really have any class photo other than the camp 1... (which does not have yu jie and some other people which i don't really remember..), everybody stay back after x-country to take class photo? Then someone edit it to make it nicer or something. Send it to me ( or put inside a CD and give it to me ), and then i pass to teacher by wednesday? Kay~~.

I sure hope everything's okay with the BV Bazaar. Try to get every student to work together and not just the few ppl.

I am assuming there are 4 groups of ppl doing things right now.
1. the foodies - handling the food
2. the couch potatoes - handling the movies and logistics in the 'cinema'
3. the PRs - those handling publicity
4. the cash cows - those handling the money

Other than that, I will just give you guys and gals full rein, with my utmost support, love and dedication (for popcorn)

And... later while you all party at the BBQ after your bazaar, I'll be at a wedding dinner. So you all have a spankin' good time! and stay safe and not drink alcohol!

Popcorn (cooked) -$1.50 (250g) at Bedok interchange Sheng Song Supermarket.
Popcorn (uncooked) -$1.44 (400g) at Tampines Giant ( The 1 near Courts and IKEA.)
Hotdogs - $2.30 for 2 packets, 20 sticks of hotdogs at Bedok interchange Sheng Song Supermarket.
Nuggets - $5.70 (1kg, around 45pieces). My parents will buy i guess, since it's way cheaper than those sold in the places i checked.
Bread - ?????? Sorry!! ><" I realised i missed that one out when i got home. Soooooooooo sorrrrrieee!! ><"
Potato Chips - $1.20 (85g, Medium Size) at Bedok Interchange Sheng Song Supermarket.

Basically all the cheap cheap stuff is at Bedok Interchange Sheng Song Supermarket, and there's ice there as well. For the bread.. let's just buy there okay? I think no problem bah. Nuggets..I got no idea, but maybe my parents pay and then you all return the money? Hellos. 1st time blogging here. Don't think that anybody will read it though. Anyways, talk about bv bazaar at the tagboard or something.

1st thing!. Need movies. Give suggestions. Or maybe go www.tom365.com. That's a movie site, don't tell anybody okayy. But all the subtitles in chinese. All titles in chinese too. So if want to find will have a bit of problem. Don't know how to say, but i don't think that they're pirated =x. So yeah, give suggestions on what type of movie and i try and find? But i think that they're pirated.. But aiyerrr just give suggestions and go that webbsite to find or something.

Secondly! Foood. I have found the prices for hotdogs, i think it's like $0.95 for every packet with 8 hotdogs i think. Think only lahs. My parents bought them. But i think that's on discount. At tampines giant i think. Yeahhh, that big big one near big big courts and big big ikea =). So go there and check or something bah. I not much time le. For nuggets..i have no idea yet x_x. It must be chicken right..? I don't know lah, i also need to find time to go and find. But the problem is i no time le.. x(.

Third thing..I don't know lah. I only know about this two stuff. The rest i think should be no problem right the bv committee..?

I just read this story, and it's so weird! It's really unusual and i hope NO ONE from our class tries to make a living out of such a thing. Oh well.. here's the story:

A Dutch student has come up with the ultimate way of making easy money - by staying in bed.

I said well, you should know better than me right?

"Yeah, but i want an adult's perspective." he quipped.

Then his friend interjected and said, "young teens are violent, they are lazy... bla bla bla"

There you have it, I said.

Then he asked "why do you think so?"

His kpo friend said "Aiya, because of the media potraying violence, too much violent games"

Start Your Revision Today!

It's about 20 days till the Common Test. remember our goals to work towards a better future and best class results!

Let's start slow by doing about 1 hr revision this week. And 2 hrs revision in the weekend.

When all your tests are finished, i.e. should be tomorrow right?

Set urself a goal to start studying. Always start studying your fave subject first. Mine was maths, so I always started my math revision first. Bio always have lots to study and is the most dreaded to study, cos of all the terms (though bio's interesting!). depending on how much you wanna study, you can also start your dreaded subject or the subject that requires the most time first.

Wednesday : 1 hr of fave subject
Thursday : 1 hr of fave subject
Friday : 1 hr of fave subject
Saturday : Treat yourself to abit of enjoyment by going to the movies!! (Like the L movie hee) 2 hrs of dreaded subject
Sunday : 2 hrs of dreaded subject

Always start doing HW first.

I have my fair share of copying hw... sometimes we as students go sch early to copy hw. but it's not good for the long term. try discussing with hw or owning up to tchers that u really do not know. when tchers mark your work, they also always try to assess their students' ability. if i see your ability is not there or very good, i put either more attention or less attention on you. your teacher also writes comments on your improvement. so it's impt to give her YOUR work and not others.

Remember to enjoy in the meantime. FOod on your study table is a sin, but it keeps u goin'

Post your comments for the class tee here.

Designs (include the motto, name, reg no, class/year), colours, type of tee/hoodies/jackets/jerseys/boxers (for Afiq! HAHA), patterns, whatever you can come up with, give it to me/Ms Koh ASAP. (Ms Koh, is it alright with you?) Then we'll vote as a class to decide the class tee. Don't delay the designs or it'd delay the whole process?

Haven't found the printing company yet. Anyone knows any company who does printing on tee/hoodies/jackets/jerseys at reasonable prices? As in the price that everyone can afford. Remember to post the comments here!!!! Hopefully when we found one, we'll get the tees before BV Bazaar/Early Term 2 (is it tooo early? LOL)

let's discuss our CIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's what you all brainstormed this morning:
1. SPCA - spca only allows people above 17 years old to take care of pets. if we were to do the following, then we can onli do e administrative stuff, create awareness by selling stuff.

2. Flag Day - some said to do with cancer society.

3. Children's Home / Student Centre - what are we going to do for them? Tuition, create a camp for them?

4. Cheer for events - marathon events need ppl.

5. Old Folks' Home/One room flats - Clean their rooms, talk to them, organise activities for them.

6. Field trip for primary sch kids - weeee!

7. APSN - teach them something

8. Tuition for primary school kids

9. Beach cleaning @ Chek Jawa - learn the biodiversity of marine organisms at the same time

10. Charity drives - orphanage, cancer associations, animal welfare

I did this service learning project on sending food the the elderly on financial assistance. It was called meals-on-wheels by the Touch community. Share your experiences on service learning and giving back to our society here too. it could be from church, or your religious organisation.
